YouTube lets you remove fake videos made with AI
YouTube is under expansion mostly its content moderation tools concerning the spread of misinformation and protecting user privacy. This platform now lets users remove videos that have used Artificial Intelligence, which was formed with deep fake videos, referring to videos resembling a person’s face or voice. This request to remove the AI-generated content will fall under the copyright infringement claims.
Furthermore, the process of removing deep fakes is as follows. Users must submit the takedown requests through YouTube's existing privacy channels. This step is necessary for individuals impersonated in deep fake videos without consent.
Users can flag their videos made with AI and then YouTube reviews the flagged content and check if it has violated the platform’s privacy guidelines. Some cases of public figures, or newsworthy content are exceptions. This is a good update for YouTube vloggers and film actors. ‘’This update empowers users to have more control over the online presence’’ said a YouTube spokesperson and added that they are committed to fostering a safe and transparent platform for everyone.
